For Internet Keypads: This could be caused by a number of reasons. Please re-power your keypad before you go any further. Simply turn the power off to the specific keypad only, (do not turn routers off. Just the POE switch going to the keypad) for two minutes and then re-power it back up and wait three minutes before touching the keypad at all. (The POE switch looks like the photo below. Unplug the cord from the electricity for two minutes.)
Then go back out to the keypad and look for the green solid light with the orangish/yellow flashing light. If those lights do not come on, you have some sort of network issue that is not allowing the keypad to connect to the internet. If they do come on, your IP addresses were tangled and this issue will continue until you get an IT guy to make sure your IP addresses are setup properly on your network. Our keypads use dynamic IP addresses. Cameras and other devices that you may have on your network may use Static IP addresses and they can block our pads from connecting if they are not setup properly by your network person.
Click here to go to Spiderdoor Self Check System. It will walk you step by step through your setup so you can identify the issue you may be facing. It is extremely simple to use. Again, make sure you see the solid green light and the yellowish orange light flickering. If you do not see this, your keypads are not connected to your internet and will not be updated with new tenant information. This picture below shows the green and orange light, which confirms if your pad is connected or not.
